The three modes

A fourth press switches it off entirely.

Getting it up

Press the button to wake the unit, drill two holes, screw it to the wall. Mount it about 2 to 2.2 metres up (6.5–7.2 feet) and angle it slightly downward — that's the height the sensor is tuned for. Give it a full day in the sun before the first night so the battery starts off charged.

Good to know

Mount it where the panel gets direct sun during the day. Under a deep overhang or behind a tree, it won't charge properly and the runtime drops.
Don't look directly into the LEDs at full brightness.
Shorter winter days mean shorter run times — that's true of every solar light, not just this one.
